Police from Arlington Heights responded about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2020 to a report of a crash into a parked car in the block of 600 North Belmont Avenue in Arlington Heights
Firefighter/paramedics were dispatched about 7:52 p.m. to check on the driver of a black Kia sedan that crashed into the back of a large pickup truck. The airbag of the Kia sedan was activated and the impact of the crash with the parked pickup truck pushed the pickup truck at least 30 to 40 feet. The driver did not initially report any serious injuries and refused transportation to the hospital.
Traffic citations were initially unavailable. The Kia was a rental car.
One neighbor said that he frequently sees motorists speed down Belmont Avenue.
