Police from Bolingbrook and Plainfield about 2:15 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2020 were involved in a pursuit with four or five suspects in a Dodge Charger after shots were fired in Bolingbrook.
UPDATE …
At least one of the suspects was reported to have fire shots with an AK-47 type weapon.
Police reported they were in pursuit of a Dodge Charger in a case involving shots fired at the police.
The suspects crashed their vehicle or bailed out of the vehicle near Walnut Circle and Heritage Meadows in Plainfield about 2:22 p.m. At one point a suspect got out of a vehicle and then got back in the vehicle.
One suspect was in custody and one suspect at large by 2:30 p.m. One suspect was described as 5’10” 130 LB with dreadlocks, wearing a black shirt and black pants.
There was also police and paramedic activity reported in the area of Andrew Road east of Route 59 where another crash may have occurred.
Will County Sheriff’s Office and Plainfield Fire Department paramedics were also on the scene.
The details or any confirmation on other suspects were not initially available, but the Plainfield Police Department advised that there was no threat to the community at 2:49 p.m. via Twitter. Police initially warned residents to stay away from Heritage Meadows Drive and also Pasquinelli Drive near Route 59.
