A teenager was shot during a fight at a Portillo’s drive-thru in Chicago’s South Loop Friday night (CBS Chicago).
Police and firefighter/paramedics from Chicago responded about 11:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020 to a report that a person was shot outside the Portillo’s at 520 West Taylor Street in Chicago.
Chicago Police said the teen was in the drive-thru of the restaurant about 11 p.m. Friday when someone behind him in a black Jeep honked the horn at him. The teen victim and the person in the Jeep got out of their vehicles and were involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the teen in the leg.
The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital in fair condition.
Initially, Friday and Saturday, there were no suspects in custody.
