Algonquin police responded to a well-being check about 6:40 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2020 in the block of 600 RedCoach Lane in Algonquin, and discovered Leonard J. Gilard, 73, and Noreen S. Gilard, 69, dead from wounds, initially believed to be stab wounds. Autopsies of the victims are pending.
During the initial investigation, the murders were believed to be domestic-related; and police began an investigation and search for a 39-year-old female suspect, who lived with the victims. The suspect is not a relative of the victims.
Arin M. Fox is accused of fleeing to Colorado in the victims’ vehicle after the murders in Algonquin. Fox was captured in Douglas County, south of Denver, where she remained in Douglas County jail Monday morning. Details regarding her capture were not initially available.

two counts of possession of stolen vehicle,
aggravated battery, and
domestic battery connected to the homicides.
Algonquin Police Department stated there is no threat to the community. The McHenry County Major Investigation Assistance Team (MIAT) is working on the investigation with the Algonquin Police Department.
