Police and firefighter/paramedics from Waukegan responded about 7:15 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2020 to a report that two people were shot in the block of 1600 Lyons Court on Waukegan’s south side.
Police determined the scene was secure, and Waukegan firefighter/paramedics then treated and transported a male victim in his 30s and a male victim in his 40s to Level 1 Trauma Center Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.
Injuries were serious, but not initially believed to be life-threatening.
Initially no information was available regarding whether any suspect or suspects were identified or under investigation. The shooting occurred in a residential neighborhood of single-family homes near the border of Waukegan with North Chicago.
