Police and firefighter/paramedics from Mount Prospect responded about 9:33 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2020 to a report of a house fire with smoke coming from the second floor of a house in the block of 100 Hill Street in Mount Prospect.
Engine 14’s crew on arrival reported smoke showing from the gable vents with a possible attic fire.
Fire command declared a working fire with the primary search complete by 9:43 a.m. The house fire is in dead-end street west of Lee Street.
Firefighters from Des Plaines and Glenview assisted Mount Prospect firefighters.
The fire was declared out by 9:54 a.m.
Initially, no known injuries with a report that the homeowner was out of the house with a neighbor.
