On August 21, 2020, the Schaumburg Police Department initiated an investigation concerning an alleged Criminal Sexual Abuse and Battery at the Tea Leaf Market, Schaumburg. After completing a thorough investigation, Detectives determined
the owner of the business and suspect, Suhail Fakhouri, age 58, of Rosedale Road in Roselle, was involved in the allegation.
On September 15, 2020, Suhail Fakhouri arrived at the Schaumburg Police Department for further investigation. The facts of the case were reviewed by the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, who authorized the charges of Criminal Sexual Abuse and Battery. Suhail Fakhouri, was transported to the 3rd District Cook County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows for a bond hearing on September 16, 2020, where his bond was set at $200,000.00
