Rollover crash on Arlington Heights Road north of Miner Street in Arlington Heights.
Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 3:09 p.m. Monday, September 14, 2020 to a report of a rollover crash with injuries at 215 North Arlington Heights Road.
Police and firefighter/paramedics arrived to discover a vehicle upside down on its roof. No extrication was required, and the driver of the rolled car was transported to Northwest Community Hospital with injuries that initially appeared to be non-life-threatening.
Arlington Heights Road was blocked in both directions between Miner Street and Eastman Street during rescue and vehicle recovery and towing.
A security camera at the office building at 215 North Arlington Heights Road at the southeast corner of Arlington Heights Road and Eastman Street captured all or part of the crash.
The accident report was not complete while the crash remained under investigation. Police examined the video. The crash involved two Honda sedans and a Jeep. The newer Honda sedan rolled onto its roof. The other two vehicles received minor damage and were not towed.
Preliminary investigation indicated one of the vehicles might have been rear-ended, but this was not confirmed. No information on citations was initially available.
The information in this article is an early report published before any summary information was confirmed or released by police or fire authorities.
