Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:01 AM Thursday September 17, 2020 of a theft at new Amazon distribution warehouse at under construction at 1455 Shure Drive Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders unlawfully took copper wire left unattended on the property. The copper wire was staged on the property in preparation for maintenance on the property’s light poles.
The approximate value of the copper wire is $5,000.
On-site security personnel have been placed on the property during the construction and preparation phase of the Amazon warehouse.
The crime is reported to have occurred between Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 8:00 PM and Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 6:00 AM. The elapsed time range including the time the crime could have occurred is 10:00 (hours: minutes).
