Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 5:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020 to a report of a downed tree on power lines in the block of 0-99 South Mitchell Avenue. A small power outage occurred near Mitchell Avenue and Campbell Street.
Firefighters arrived to find a large tree down on power lines which displaced two wood utility poles about 45 degrees. No injuries were reported.
ComEd responded immediately, and work to remove the tree by an Asplundh crew began about 8:10 a.m. after the Village of Arlington Heights located water lines nearby and USIC located other utilities.
