The Chicago Division of the FBI is seeking information from the public to help identify the person responsible for vandalism and other potential crimes in Chicago.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at approximately 1:30 p.m., an unknown Caucasian male attempted to gain entry to Lincoln United Methodist Church located at South Damen Avenue and 22nd Place in the Pilsen neighborhood. After being informed that the church was closed, the individual began kicking the locked glass doors, ultimately shattering both. When approached by employees, the individual made statements identified as racist in nature and performed a gesture described as a Nazi salute.
The subject is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30-40 years old, with close-cut brown hair and a slim build. At the time of the incident, the subject was wearing a long black coat, dark pants, and dark shoes and accompanied by a medium-sized white dog with a curled tail.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call FBI Chicago at (312) 421-6700 or provide information to tips.fbi.gov. Citizens may also contact a local FBI office, or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate.
