Interior passenger compartment and engine compartment fire
Illinois State Police troopers and Libertyville firefighters responded about 11:52 p.m. Friday August 14, 2020 to a report of two car fires on Interstate 94 East (southbound) at Mile Marker 15. Actually, one passenger sedan was on fire, but several motorists had stopped on both left and right shoulders to assist. Libertyville firefighters arrived about 12 midnight. The scene was closer to Mile Marker 14 just south of Route 137.
Illinois State Police trooper on arrival reported one vehicle on fire. An ambulance was requested so that paramedics could check on vehicle occupants.
The fire was quickly extinguished by Libertyville firefighters.

08/14/20 Fully involved vehicle fire. I-94 Eastbound at mile marker 14 @LibertyvilleFD and @ISPDistrict15 responded. Two occupants of the vehicle were checked for injuries and released at the scene.
