Car vs motorcycle crash at Northwest Highway (US 14) and Evergreen Avenue in downtown Arlington Heights Wednesday night injured motorcyclist.
Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 8:48 p.m. Wednesday August 12, 2020 to a report of a vehicle crash with a motorcycle at Northwest Highway and Evergreen Avenue in downtown Arlington Heights.
The motorcyclist was down on the pavement near the westbound Northwest Highway left turn lane to southbound Evergreen Avenue. A Subaru passenger vehicle with front-end damage was in the intersection just in front of the same left turn lane. Initially the direction of travel of each vehicle was unknown, but it appeared the driver of the Subaru was turning from westbound Northwest Highway to southbound Evergreen Avenue.
The male motorcyclist did not initially appear to have life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Northwest Community Hospital. The male driver of the Subaru did not appear to be injured.
Eastbound Northwest Highway was temporarily shut down between Evergreen Avenue and Arlington Heights Road.
