Police and firefighter/paramedics from Rolling Meadows responded about 4:15 p.m. Friday July 31, 2020 to a report of a five-vehicle crash on the Euclid Avenue bridge over Route 53.
A second ambulance was requested at 4:22 p.m. Firefighter/paramedics worked to assess multiple patients and eventually transported two patients with injuries that did not initially appear to be life-threatening.
The crash was located on westbound Euclid Avenue near the off ramp to southbound Route 53. Northbound Route 53 was backed up almost to Algonquin Road at 4:45 p.m. for another incident with a tanker truck on Route 53 near Euclid Avenue.
