NYPD is investigating a possible poisoning of police officers at the Shake Shack in downtown Manhattan.
UPDATE: Investigation overnight determined no criminality as the incident involved improper use of shake machine cleaning solution.
Three NYPD police officers were drinking a shake when they realized the shakes might be contaminated. The police officers then became sick after consuming about one-half of the shakes from the Shake Shack restaurant earlier Monday night.
Upon early investigation, NYPD suspects an employee may have contaminated the shakes with bleach. Employees of the Shake Shack were being questioned by police, but initially there were no arrests.
