Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies responded about 2:50 a.m. Thursday June 4, 2020 to a report of a vehicle versus residence traffic crash in the 37600 block of North Sheridan Road, Beach Park. Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived and found both the stolen vehicle and a home with major damage.
Preliminary investigation discovered that a 2008 Chevrolet Impala was occupied by three males: an 18-year-old from Zion, a 16-year old from Zion, and a 14-year-old from Beach Park. The vehicle was traveling southbound on Sheridan Road, when for an unknown reason, the driver lost control and struck the front of a home.
Nobody inside the home was injured. One of the three occupants was able to escape from the vehicle, while two others remained trapped and required extrication by firefighters. The three occupants of the vehicle were transported to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan with non-life-threatening injuries.
Kenosha Police Department responded to the scene to process the vehicle for evidence. The crash remains under investigation and criminal charges are pending at this time.
