Minneapolis police assess a stabbing victim scene with a helicopter then extract at least two victims to paramedics staging nearby.
Minneapolis police responded during daytime hours on Thursday May 28, 2020 to the area of 26th Avenue between Lake Street and 29th Street, just north of the Minneapolis 3rd Police Precinct to rescue a stabbing victim and another victim with unknown injuries.
Video from 9 News Australia shows police responding on the ground after a helicopter crew assessed the crowd.
Police were pelted by boulders, bricks, bottles and eggs while attempting the extraction rescue. The stabbing victim was transferred in the back of a police SUV to paramedics staged nearby. The other victim was transferred on a flatbed dolly.
Police returned fire with non-lethal anti-riot weapons.
At the end of the 9 News Australia a news anchor, reading a comment from a Minnesota prosecutor, incorrectly concludes that police officers involved will not face criminal charges over the death of George Floyd.
