Illinois State Police and firefighter/paramedics from Rolling Meadows responded about 12:42 p.m. Sunday May 10, 2020 to a report of a crash with injuries at
Rescuers received a report that the driver of a truck pulling a Jeep lost control and hit several vehicles. Vehicles and debris were reported scattered across all three lanes of traffic. The crash involved four or five vehicles.
There was also a car off the roadway at the exit ramp to eastbound Euclid Avenue well south of the first crash scene, but apparently not related to the crash.
A second ambulance was requested, but returned.
Fire crews cleaned up a small oil spill connected to the crash. Traffic on Route 53 was backed up to Euclid Avenue.
