Golf Liquor Burglary by four offenders using a stolen Nissan SUV on Golf Road near Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights.
Police from Arlington Heights responded about 4:33 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2020 to Golf Liquor, 606 East Golf Road when four offenders broke into the retail liquor store and removed products from the store.
Apparently, police arrived before the offenders fled the scene. Some product was scattered in the parking lot in front of the liquor store. One suspect apparently lost a shoe in the rush to get away.
There was initially no word whether or not police engaged in any type of pursuit, but visibility was sometimes less than 100 feet due to heavy fog in the area — very dangerous conditions for a police pursuit. Initially it was unknown whether police discovered the commercial burglary while on patrol or whether an activated burglar alarm notified police.
Police described that four male/black offenders fled in a silver Nissan SUV. The suspects were described as wearing dark clothing and masks. The SUV was last seen eastbound on Golf Road from Goebbert Road. Police later discovered that the Nissan was reported stolen.
The front glass door to the store was smashed, and a box of Hennessey and a box of Rémy Martin were scattered in the parking lot.
