U.S. coronavirus death toll climbs to 9

The confirmed worldwide cases of Novel Coronavirus rose to 93,158 cases by 11:50 p.m. CT Tuesday March 3, 2020. Worldwide deaths rose to 3,198 with 9 deaths in recorded in the United States.
The World Health Organization reported that the mortality rate of COVID-19 is significantly higher than previous estimates, world health officials said. The reported rise of 2.3 percent to 3.4 percent. Globally, about 3.4% of confirmed patients have died, according to Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization. In comparison, the seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected. The World Health Organization officials said during the last week of February that the mortality rate of COVID-19 can differ, ranging from 0.7% to up to 4%, depending on the quality of the health-care system where it’s treated.
