Full Moon just as rain clouds arrive over Arlington Heights before dawn, changing a clear sky to a cloudy sky at about 5:00 a.m.
Showers and thundershowers are moving in to the area of northeast Illinois with significant rain not expected to start until about noon. Sprinkles and virga are forecast for this morning and wind southwest gusts almost 40 MPH from the southwest are forecast from 10 AM to 5 PM, which won’t be much help for a large mulch fire with smoky conditions on Old Sutton Road in Barrington Township. Some lightning, which occurred early this morning, is less likely after sunrise.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) showed an area of showers and thundershowers moving northeast over northern Illinois at about 6:30 a.m.
