Gov. Andrew Coumo’s office announced Sunday afternoon March 15, 2020 that New York City will close public schools beginning Monday, March 16, 2020; and are scheduled to re-open following Spring Recess on Monday, April 20, 2020.
The New York State Department of Health reported 329 cases in New York City and 400 outside of New York City for a total of 729.

NYC must have a plan in place in the next 24 hours for childcare for essential workers and a plan to make sure kids will continue to get the meals they need.
NYC schools will close early this week.
This action is necessary to reduce density and mitigate the spread of #COVID19.
