Police and firefighter/paramedics from Mount Prospect responded about 11:06 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2020 to a report of a garbage truck fire at 117 Weiler Road in unincorporated Arlington Heights near Mount Prospect’s south side. Firefighters received a report from the driver that there is “natural gas” on the truck, and that there was a failure in an attempt to dump the burning load from the truck.
A second engine was dispatched at 11:26 a.m. to assist first due crews.
