Aurora Illinois confirms first Coronavirus death March 2020 [Google] [Bing]
The City of Aurora has confirmed, via information from the Kane County Health Department, the first death due to the COVID-19 coronavirus. A male patient in his 90s was diagnosed two days prior to his death.
“We’ve been preparing for the inevitable news that COVID-19 is here and spreading. This weekend brought us news of confirmed cases, including residents and one of our APD supervisors, and the sad passing of one of our senior citizens. This is real, and we must all continue to do our part to stop the spread.”

Aurora reports three other positives Coronavirus cases, including a woman in her 20s, a woman in her 30s and a woman in her 50s. Reports were provided to the City by the local health departments. An Aurora police supervisor test positive for Coronavirus on March 20, 2020, and the news was released by the Aurora Police Department on Saturday, March 21, 2020. The police employee is not a resident of Aurora.
