Two Honolulu police officers were shot and killed in in an incident that also involved a house fire Sunday morning January 19, 2020 on Hibiscus Drive in the Diamond Head area. The shooting suspect apparently set a house on fire, and eventually several homes were burning.
The incident was classified as an active shooter incident during at least part of the law enforcement operations on Hibiscus Drive. ATF agents also responded to the scene.
