Police and firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 1:40 p.m Monday, January 27, 2020 to a report of smoke inside the building at 15 West Davis Street in Arlington Heights. Firefighters on arrival reported no smoke showing outside, but some evacuation of residents. After a quick investigation, firefighters determine the smoke was caused by burnt food.
A full fire response was assigned for the call. Extra crews were returned, but Engine 2’s crew and Tower 1’s crew remained at the scene to clear smoke in the building. The scene was secured and all firefighters left the address by about 2:05 p.m.
