Snow is expected to begin as early as 10 p.m. Wednesday, but we probably won’t see significant snowfall begin until about 2:00 a.m. Thursday. Snow accumulation will continue on Thursday, Friday and early Saturday morning. Total accumulation is forecast to be 3.0 inches from midnight Wednesday/Thursday until 5:00 a.m. Saturday. The snow is expected to be wet and heavy for shoveling, but the snowfall rate is forecast to be light. The snow may be mixed with light rain and drizzle on Friday, starting about 8:00 a.m. and continuing until about 5:00 a.m. Saturday when the snow ends. No freezing rain or sleet is forecast at this time, and winds will gust at times to about 14 MPH from the south, then east, then northeast, then north and northwest at the end of the snowfall period. Temperatures will hold in the low to mid-30s during the snowfall period.
