Police and firefighter/paramedics from Chicago responded about 3:45 p.m. Monday December 9, 2019 to a false report of an active shooter at 4650 West Grand Avenue near Walmart in Chicago. Police initially declared the response was not bonafide about 3:49 p.m., but were investigating for several minutes to confirm that there was no shooting.
Early investigation indicated the incident involved a false call of a person waving a gun.
The EMS Plan 1 for extra ambulances standing by was secured by 3:57 p.m.
