Park City police responded about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday December 3, 2019 to a report by a roommate that a woman was found bleeding and not breathing on the floor of a manufactured home in the block of 3100 7th Street.
Investigators discovered that the woman’s vehicle was missing from the driveway. A description of the vehicle was broadcast as a police alert, and police found the vehicle in Waukegan. A person of interest was found inside the vehicle at a service station at Green Bay Road and Sunset Avenue. According to Park City Police Department, the person of interest is in custody in connection with a homicide investigation.
The Lake County Major Crime Task Force was called in to assist with the investigation of the woman’s death.
An autopsy of the victim was scheduled today at the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Police did not initially specify if the woman was pronounced dead at the scene or whether she was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
