Eight cars were set on fire in an abandoned lot in West Pullman. Police say 20 to 30 vehicles were set on fire near 88th and Genoa.
Chicago firefighters responded just after midnight on Monday, December 9, 2019 to a report that multiple vehicles were set on fire in the block of 300 East 115th Street. Fires involving eight vehicles were extinguished.
Chicago firefighters also responded about 12:40 a.m. to a report of multiple vehicle fires in the block of 8800 South Genoa Avenue. Fires involving 30 vehicles were extinguished.
No injuries were reported.
At least three recent fires have been reported at the 115th Street address. The Chicago Police Department Arson Unit is investigating. Police believed on suspect is involved in the arson fires. The Genoa Avenue scene is about 3.7 miles northwest of the 115th Street scene.
