Arlington Heights police responded about 11:35 PM Saturday November 30, 2019 to a report of a car crash against a house at the corner of Grove Street and Newbury Place Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that a male teen driver crashed his vehicle against the house, and fortunately was not injured. No other injuries were initially reported either.
Moderate to severe damage occurred to the small SUV the teen was driving. Initially, the crash did not appear to cause structural damage at the house. Possibly, only a large window frame was pushed inward. Initially, exterior damage was not fully assessed because of darkness.
The vehicle was removed by Hillside Towing with a flatbed truck.
Apparently the driver was headed eastbound on Grove Street and failed to make the sharp turn to go northbound on Newbury Place. The vehicle left the roadway, crossed the lawn, and hit the house.
A representative from the Village of Arlington Heights responded immediately to the scene to check for structural damage.
The driver’s identity will not be released because the driver involved in the crash was a minor at the time of the crash.
The information in this article is an early report published before any summary information was confirmed or released by police authorities.
