An arrest warrant for Anatoliy Ermak was approved by a Cook County judge Wednesday morning November 20, 2019 for two counts of first degree murder. The warrant is valid throughout the United States, and Ermak will be extradited to Cook County jail if he is found outside of Buffalo Grove’s jurisdiction.

Buffalo Grove police said late Monday night November 18, 2019 that Anatoliy Ermak, age 64, was wanted in connection with the homicides of a man and woman in a parking garage at the Cambridge on the Lake condominium complex, 150 Lake Boulevard, Buffalo Grove on Sunday November 17, 2019 about 8:00 p.m. Their bodies were discovered in the parking garage about 11:30 p.m.
Authorities released the names of the victims as Nataliya Ermak, age 55, and her husband, Roman Frid, age 69 about noon Tuesday November 19, 2019. Police also revealed that Anatoliy Ermak and Nataliya Ermak were divorced several years ago.
Anatoliy Ermak, the ex-husband of Nataliya Ermak, are former Wheeling residents, who lived in a house less than one-half mile south of the crime scene at Cambridge on the Lake lower level parking garage.

The shooter entered through an open garage door to the underground parking garage.The shooter approached the victims from behind as they got out of their vehicle.
The shooter and victims had a brief conversation.
The shooter shot the victims multiple times.
Anatoliy Ermak should be considered armed and dangerous. Initially no hometown information Anatoliy Ermak was released. Buffalo Grove Police Declared that Anatoliy Ermak may be driving a white Nissan Versa hatchback with Florida license plate KCFK75.
The suspect’s vehicle used during the crime was a white 2019 Nissan Versa that was obtained at a vehicle rental agency.
Police said Nataliya Ermak and Anatoliy Ermak were divorced “several years ago.” Police corrected the age of Nataliya Ermak from age 64 to age 55.
Local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies are assisting Buffalo Grove Police Department.
Police still believe that the shooter acted alone. The victims entered the parking garage first, the suspect entered the parking garage on foot through the open garage door, and the suspect had a short conversation with victims before shooting them multiple times. The suspect then left the parking garage through a side door.
Police are unaware of a motive, and have not recovered a weapon.
The suspect has a passport, and is believed to be a legitimate United States citizen. Police Chief Steven R. Casstevens said that the investigation has not produced solid leads about the general location or possible direction of travel of Anatoliy Ermak. The suspect’s most recent permanent address is believed to be Minneapolis, Minnesota.
