The low temperature will be earlier than normal Saturday morning at about 1:00 a.m., bottoming out at 27°F, and then slowly rising to 29°F by 7:00 a.m. — much better than Friday’s low (before official) of 16°F. The normal low for Nov. 8 is 35°F. Friday’s high temperature of about 31°F didn’t even reach the normal low for the date. Saturday will feel warmer, but will be spoiled by a below normal high temperature at 44°F and a wind chill high of only 38°F. Gusty southwest winds will be as high as 25 MPH.
Snow may be coming Sunday night with arctic air following with Chicagoland flirting with record low maximum temperature (28°F in 1926). The chill may arrive about 7:00 a.m. Monday. If it were to arrive Sunday night before midnight Sunday/Monday, we would probably have a record low high for Monday November 10, 2019. Wind chills Monday will be in the teens with north-northwest winds gusting to 23 MPH.
