Shake Shack Schaumburg Opening Tuesday October 8, 2019 on Golf Rd Woodfield’s North Side

A new Shake Shack is set to open at 1765 East Golf Road in Schaumburg on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. The restaurant is near Golf Road in an “outlot” perimeter position outside the mall.

Shake Shack is schedule to first open at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the first 100 customers in line receiving custom tote bags.

The 5,117-square-foot Shake Shack will feature an outdoor patio will be one of the highlights of the . The tabletops were crafted from reclaimed bowling alley lanes while chairs were made from sustainable materials, according to the company.

Shake Shack plans to have wine and a local beer selection at the Schaumburg store. Among the suds choices will be those from Chicago’s Half Acre Beer Co. and Revolution Brewing.

According to their official website, “the Schaumburg Shack will be spinnin’ up local exclusives including the Pie Oh My concrete – vanilla custard blended with pieces of Four & Twenty Blackbirds seasonal pie.”

New York-based Shake Shack describes itself as a modern day “roadside” burger stand serving a classic American menu of premium burgers, hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries, shakes, frozen custard, beer, wine and more.” The restaurant serves 100% all-natural Black Angus beef. The menu also includes chicken sandwiches, flat-top wieners, crinkle-cut fries, and freshly made frozen custard.

Shake Shack locations recently opened in Vernon Hills and Oak Brook. When the Schaumburg location opens, there will be 8 locations in Illinois — all in Chicagoland.

Financial Highlights for the Second Quarter 2019 compared to the Second Quarter 2018:

Total revenue increased 31.3% to $152.7 million.
Shack sales increased 31.0% to $147.9 million.
Same-Shack sales increased 3.6%.
Licensed revenue increased 42.9% to $4.8 million.
Shack system-wide sales increased 33.2% to $225.9 million.
Operating income was $11.9 million, or 7.8% of total revenue, which included the impact of costs associated with the Company’s enterprise-wide system upgrade implementation, Project Concrete, and other one-time items totaling $0.5 million, resulting in a decrease of 8.8%.
Shack-level operating profit*, a non-GAAP measure, increased 13.7% to $36.2 million, or 24.4% of Shack sales.
Net income was $11.2 million and adjusted EBITDA*, a non-GAAP measure, increased 18.5% to $25.9 million.
