McHenry police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 3:39 PM Friday October 18, 2019 to a report of a motorcycle crash with injuries on Elm Street near the intersection of Elm Street and Beach Road McHenry, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a motorcyclist was involved in a crash on Elm Street near Beach Road. The motorcyclist is reported to be seriously injured. Flight for Life was not available.
Eastbound Elm Street was immediately shut down at Park Lane, and next eastbound Elm Street was shut down at Ringwood Road. Westbound lanes were also shutdown east of the crash scene.
The motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital.
Initially, police were not sure whether the crash was a single-vehicle motorcycle crash or whether a second vehicle was involved. An extended crash investigation lasting several hours is possible at this crash scene.
