Police and firefighter/paramedics from Geneva responded about 6:28 a.m., Friday October 25, 2019 to a report of an employee trapped in machine at Power Packaging, 2089 Pillsbury Drive, Geneva, IL. A female victim was extricated from the machine prior to arrival of firefighter/paramedics.
The patient was transferred with life-threatening injuries to DuPage Airport where a Superior Air Med helicopter was standing by to transport the patient to a Level 1 Trauma Center.
A second ambulance was dispatched to the scene at Power Packaging for a second patient about 6:34 a.m.
The first patient was transferred from the Geneva ambulance gurney to the Superior Air Med helicopter gurney by 7:20 a.m. The helicopter pilot activated the rotors at about 7:22 a.m., lifted off at 7:24 a.m. and headed southeast from DuPage Airport.
