Crash with entrapment, quick extrication at Kirchoff Road and Highland Avenue Arlington Heights.
Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:40 PM Thursday October 24, 2019 to a report of a crash at Kirchoff Road and Highland Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Upon arrival firefighter/paramedics on Ambulance 1 reported one person trapped and requested an upgrade to an extrication response by 1:45 p.m.
A female driver was entrapped in a small white 4-door sedan with significant damage and intrusion to both doors on the driver’s side.
A second ambulance was requested by 1:50 p.m.
The female patient in the small white sedan was extricated by 1:55 p.m. and transported to Northwest Community Hospital.
A second patient was assessed by firefighter/paramedics after the victim was able to walk to the ambulance. Initially it was unknown if the second patient was transported to the hospital.
