Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:19 PM Saturday September 21, 2019 to a report of a house fire on Bristol Lane just north of the intersection of Bristol Lane and Orchard Street Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report of a fire in a third floor bedroom. The involved a large home, and based on information reported, the fire call upgraded to a Code 4 “Working Fire” response by 7:21 p.m.
A caller at house reported that a charger was active and may have started a pile of laundry on fire. A fire lieutenant on scene reported the fire can be extinguished with two pump cans, and the fire was extinguished with pump cans by 7:27 p.m. Firefighters immediately went to work ventilating the home and cleared interior smoke, and inspected the attic and walls for extension of heat and fire. Apparently extension was discovered.
A fire investigator was dispatched to the scene. Most firefighters cleared the scene by 8:20 p.m.
