Des Plaines police responded about 4:45 AM Monday September 2, 2019 to a report of an attempted vehicle burglary, unlawful use of weapon and fleeing and eluding police at an apartment complex at 183 North East River Road Des Plaines, IL. Des Plaines police reported interrupting a vehicle burglary in progress. It is not confirmed whether shots were fired during this incident.
One vehicle involved in the incident was described as a beige 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe.
A silver Ford Focus was described as a chase vehicle, and a dark sedan was also described as a chase vehicle.
Three suspects involved in the incident were described as …
#1) a male/white, age 25, wearing a white mesh baseball hat, a white windbreaker jacket, dark jeans, white shoes and displaying a handgun;
#2) a female/white subject with brown hair and the driver of the Ford Focus; and
$3) a male/white subject and driver of the dark sedan.
