Naperville police have issued a warning — especially to north side residents — that 11 eleven residential burglaries have occurred in north Naperville since June 20, 2019. Seven of the burglaries occurred in the area north of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad tracks and east of Washington Street.
Police said many of the homes were burglarized when doors and windows that were left unlocked, and emphasized that resident should lock their patio and interior garage doors to avoid burglaries.
Police have suspect information and are investigating leads about the burglaries, but no suspects have been charged or cited.
Police also reminded residents to keep doors and windows locked, to close garage doors especially overnight, and to use additional lighting or security lighting outside and inside residences.

A home invasion was also reported last weekend about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2019 in the block of 1300 Danada Court in north Naperville. An unknown offender entered a townhouse through an open garage door.
