Dan Hampton is scheduled to meet and greet fans during an Arlington Heights Senior Center open house Sunday, September 15, 2019 noon to 3:00 p.m., according to the Village of Arlington Heights.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame defensive tackle, who played 12 seasons for the Chicago Bears from 1979 to 1990, will discuss his career and what he does now to stay fulfilled in his “second half” of life at 12:30 p.m. Hampton will sign autographs and take pictures from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Hampton was recently featured in a WGN Sports special about Walter Payton, and video from Payton’s memorial service showed Hampton addressing the crowd in Soldier Field, describing the legend of Walter Payton.
The Open House, sponsored by Arlington Heights Senior Center, Inc., is intended for rookies (newcomers) age 50+ and those who have not visited the Senior Center – as a way to learn about the innovative programs and services available for those reaching midlife…and beyond.
The Senior Center is offering new “Midlife Programs for 50 – 70-somethings” that includes unique seminars as well as a 6-week series aimed at helping people achieve personal and professional goals in the second half of their lives.
Representatives from all eight senior center agencies will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. There will be complimentary tailgate-style food. No tickets or reservations are required.
The Arlington Heights Senior Center is located at 1801 West Central Road. For more information, call the Arlington Heights Senior Center at 847.253.5532.
