Northbrook police responded about 3:30 PM Monday September 23, 2019 to an armed robbery at 1363 Shermer Road Northbrook, IL. Police received a report that two male offenders committed a robbery at an office/retail building just north of the Northbrook Metra Station West 1. Northbrook police did not specify the exact location of the robbery in the building where multiple office and retail spaces exist.
Reported taken was $6,000 cash with five bags of jewelry, and a Smith & Wesson 9mm Shield handgun with a waist holster.
The offenders were described as …
#1) male/black, age 23, 5’10” slender build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants; and
#2) male/black, age 20, 6’0″ slender build, wearing a white construction hat, black hooded sweatshirt with a green construction vest, and brandishing a chrome handgun.
The crime is reported to have occurred at 3:30 p.m.
The suspects fled in a brown or tan Jeep — possibly a Jeep Compass.
