After a summer of dusty construction, the construction crews in the immediate Taste of Arlington Heights area are gone, and the Arlington Heights Public Works Department crews have cleaned up the streets better than ever. Two different asphalt crews finished their surface work this past week. One asphalt crew was a contractor for Nicor and another was a contractor for the sewer and water crews that completed their construction work in time for the annual Mane Event and the Taste of Arlington Heights events this weekend — Friday night, Saturday, and Saturday night.
Arlington Heights Public Works Department crews have spent several early morning shifts this week cleaning sand, dirt and dust from the streets. Some nearby streets, such as Sigwalt Street nearby, and Campbell Street to the west of Highland Avenue still require. The Taste of Arlington Heights streets are ready to serve delicious dinners Friday night and Saturday night.

Parking for the Events
There are several convenient parking locations for these downtown events. The Vail Garage just north of Sigwalt Street and Vail Avenue fills quickly, but other parking areas nearby include the Municipal Garage at Sigwalt and Arlington Heights Road and the surface parking lots along Northwest Highway between Ridge Avenue and Evergreen Avenue. See also Downtown Parking Map.
These two events lead up to the Arlington Million, the Arlington Park Racetrack’s premiere event held on Saturday, August 10, at 2200 W. Euclid Avenue.
