The Schaumburg Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved in an accident that occurred on Saturday, July 27, 2019, 3:30 pm in the area of 1000 North Walnut Drive.
A juvenile subject on a bicycle was traveling through a crosswalk on Walnut Drive when he was struck by a silver, Mercedes Benz SUV driving southbound on Walnut Drive. The driver and passenger stopped to assist the bicyclist and escorted the subject home, but they did not provide vehicle or contact information. The bicyclist was injured but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
The driver is described as a female wearing a red shirt.
The vehicle is described as a silver Mercedes Benz ML350, unknown license plate with possible damage in the front end area on the driver’s side.
