Lake Forest Police responded Friday evening August 9, 2019 to a report of a domestic battery in the block of 800 Knightsbridge Court, Lake Forest. He was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Friday accused of striking a female victim in the face while she was holding a baby, and grabbing her throat and knocking her to the ground.
Garrett C. Paffenroth, 27, of the block of 800 Knightsbridge Court in Lake Forest was charged with two counts of felony domestic battery. Lake Forest police officers reported Paffenroth admitted hitting the woman three times in the face with an open hand.
Paffenroth was arrested and transported to the Lake County Jail where he was held overnight. Paffenroth appeared in bond court Saturday, and was released after posting 10 percent of his $40,000 bond ($4,000), according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Lake County court records for Garrett Paffenroth include a criminal history of pleading guilty to misdemeanor domestic battery on June 29, 2017, in exchange for two years probation, and one year of periodic imprisonment, as well as a curfew and restrictions on alcohol consumption. Paffenroth also had an Order of Protection filed against him in February 3, 2017. He was initially charged with criminal misdemeanor aggravated battery on February 2, 2017. He was also charged with DUI on February 2, 2017.
