Arlington Heights police responded about 8:18 a.m. Monday July 8, 2019 to a semi-trailer truck stalled on the Metra UP Northwest Line railroad tracks at Arlington Heights Road.
The semi-trailer truck weighed 100,000 LBS, but Hillside Towing had the tracks cleared within 25 minutes of their arrival.

Two Metra trains were immediately stopped near downtown Arlington Heights. All trains were temporarily stopped in both directions near Arlington Heights, but the tracks were cleared and train and vehicle traffic was resumed by about 8:45 a.m., according to Metra. Trains were operating about 25 to 40 minutes behind schedule immediately after the blockage.
