Arlington Heights police received a report about 6:21 PM Wednesday July 3, 2019 of a retail theft at Marshalls, 392 East Rand Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that two unknown female/black offenders entered the business, took items for sale off the sales floor, and immediately brought the items to the register to conduct a fraudulent return with no receipt in exchange for store credit in the form of gift cards.
Both offenders were also seen on surveillance video concealing merchandise for sale on their person before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. The female offenders were last seen leaving the area in an early 2000s model Chevrolet Monte Carlo with no license plate. The calculation of the total retail value of the merchandise theft is pending further investigation.
The crime is reported to have occurred on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 6:20 PM.
