southwest extent of broad surface ridging spreads across the area. Clouds will be moving out with almost totally clear skies tonight and Monday. Gusty winds will drop off about 6pm to 7pm Sunday. Dry air is moving in with dry forecast soundings through much of the troposphere supporting abundant sunshine Monday.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) in northeast Illinois is clear.
N to NE winds of 15 to 20 mph will continue along the Lake MI shoreline into this eve, producing high wave action and the development of rip and structural currents. This may also lead to continued minor lakeshore flooding. Stay out of the water due to these dangerous conditions. pic.twitter.com/9OtZNWLn94
