We have a natural air conditioner working as an outflow/lake breeze composite boundary with cooler air behind it has pushed all the way inland with the boundary from about Woodstock to Naperville to Wheeler line. The air is still unstable enough to bring some severe storm — most likely about 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Arlington Heights and surround suburbs.
Weather Radar (also nexrad.chgowx.com) showed some thunderstorms organized in southeast Wisconsin, the far northeast corner of McHenry County, and the northern half of Lake County. Those moved out to Lake Michigan and above the Illinois-Wisconsin border by 3:45 p.m. and then by about 4:15 p.m. a new line is dipping down out of the main organized storms in southeast Wisconsin. That new line, that trails southwest from the main storms, is pushing across McHenry County at 4:25 p.m. and is just beginning to enter northwest Lake County.
The National Weather Service Chicago issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning at 4:24 p.m. Saturday for Eastern McHenry County and Lake County. The storms could possibly enter northern Cook County, which could extend a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the northwest suburbs
