Chicago police, firefighters, and paramedics responded about 8:30 p.m. Friday May 24, 2019 to a report of two children hit by a car in the block of 3200 North Narragansett Avenue.
Police, firefighters and paramedics discovered a 9-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy walked onto the street and were hit by a 2001 Honda Civic, according to Chicago Police Department.
A 67-year-old man, who was the motorist that struck the children, was cited for not having auto insurance.
The children were transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with injuries initially believed to be non-life-threatening.
